We have created a beautiful meditation and yoga room in the heart of The Serenity Center of Summerville (SCS). It is a sacred space set with the intention to soothe the soul. We invite community members to do their chants, yoga, meditations, to read spiritual material, etc., in this sacred space with the intention of spiritual development. It is a safe haven to listen to our soul and get the answers to our questions. The space feels peaceful and is where we can just be alone and relax.
A place of solace that we have chosen to keep simple and uncluttered. The few items chosen for this sacred space are intended to bring us peace and serenity. We have some pillows, mats, beautiful rug, and other inspirational items for this purpose. We like to connect the space to nature in any way we can by bringing in fresh flowers. We strive to infuse the space with balance and harmony. We also have created beautiful playlists that can help soothe the soul with music. Our incense, aromatic oils and candles with meditative scents create a beautiful aroma that helps us stay focused and fills our space with beautiful and soothing energies. We welcome affirmation stones, crystals, beads, artwork, bells, chimes, and Buddha to help make our meditation space feel more personal and tranquil and to provide an immense sense of peace and serenity. Our meditation room can help relieve stress and provide the health benefits that come along with stress reduction, such as lowered blood pressure and better sleep at night.
